Mt Meru Hiking – 4 days

The Perfect Warm-Up Before Kilimanjaro or a Rewarding Trek on Its Own

Standing proudly inside Arusha National Park, Tanzania, Mount Meru (4566 m) is the fifth-highest mountain in Africa. Often overshadowed by its larger neighbor, Mount Kilimanjaro, Meru offers trekkers an incredible, less-crowded experience with rich wildlife, lush forests, dramatic crater views, and sweeping vistas of Kilimanjaro itself.

Meru is the perfect warm-up climb before tackling Kilimanjaro, or a rewarding stand-alone trek for those seeking a shorter adventure. The climb is accompanied by armed park rangers due to the presence of wildlife, and overnights are in huts rather than tents, providing extra comfort.
